Updating an old china hutch

A chic traditional white wooden china hutch cabinet remodelled from an old brown one! It has got the French linen and old white finish, brass accent and glass doors with shelves.

The drawers are deep enough for your favorite items.

So when Behr challenged my fellow DIY Experts and me to use a color from their 2016 Color Trends palette to update something in our home, I knew exactly which piece I would be working on!

Here’s the full shot of what I started with: I know some people are totally anti-furniture painting, but if you look closely, you can see that this piece was not only quite orange, but had suffered some wear and tear over the years, with several nicks, scratches, and worn edges.

In this collection you will have a chance to discover various shapes, sizes, colours and designs of china cabinets. This sumptuous china hutch cabinet presents lovable arched design and elaborate metal hardware with unpretentious pride.

This post has been created in partnership with Beyond Paint. When we moved into our home my very favorite thing, and the reason I fell in love with this home were all the built-ins.

One of my very favorite things to decorate for our home tours (like Monday’s fall home tour!

An attractive china cabinet with sturdy wooden shelves makes a great alternative bookcase -- and it keeps old leather-bound volumes dust-free behind the glass doors.

As a bonus, you can stash your trashy bodice-ripper romances behind the solid wooden doors of the lower section of the china cabinet.

Since the baby arrived, I kind of lost my DIY mojo, but this project has me back!
